Meet the dogs of House & Garden: 41 of the sweetest canines to make our pages
When The Wallace Collection opened an exhibition a couple of years ago, dedicated to dogs and those who have sought to immortalise them in paint, the featured the charming poem by Byron in one room. In one room, an inscription by Byron read,
‘But the poor Dog, in life the firmest friend,
The first to welcome, foremost to defend,
Whose honest heart is still his Masters own.’

The bond between human and dog has been featured time and time again in the pages of House & Garden. From the slinkiest of hounds to chunkiest of retrievers, these dogs are just as at home in our features as, well, the homes themselves.
