The best affordable fabrics for curtains, blinds and upholstery
Fabric is one of the surprisingly costly elements of interior design. And this is partly because you need so very much of it. When using it for curtains, any substantial window will demand two widths of fabric to each curtain, not to mention all that extra for gathering and hemming, and the wastage from pattern-matching. So, whilst the beauty and drape of high-end fabrics will always be in our DNA at House & Garden, we would be nowhere (or perhaps bankrupt) without our go-to suppliers of the more affordable stuff. So from design staples like Romo and Sanderson Home, to the simple checks and stripes that Merchant & Mills do so well, via wax prints and washed linen, scroll down - there is sure to be something to tickle even the fanciest of fancies. All prices are by the metre unless otherwise stated.
