Ten rooms that demonstrate why blue and green is the colour combination of the moment
That old fashion chestnut ‘blue and green should never be seen’ is firmly, we feel, one to be ignored. It's a colour combination that comes up again and again in the rooms on our pages, and has had a particular burst of popularity of late. Specifically, we're seeing a wave of beautiful spaces painted in sky blues with rich green accents, which feels like a fresh, contemporary look that won't go out of style in a hurry. For rooms with plenty of light, you can turn down the saturation and go for pale, icy shades, while in darker spaces you can opt for a richer, moodier version for a cocooning feel. The interior designers we feature often team this colour combination with warmer hues – pink is especially helpful, but reds and oranges can work wonders too.
