The Omaze Devon House

The latest Omaze Dream House has been revealed for this month as a magnificent, state-of-the-art house in Devon worth over £2,000,000. As ever, there’s no stamp duty, mortgage or conveyancing fees to pay, all the furnishings are included and the prize includes £250,000 in cash. Whilst some might choose to sell up or rent the property out (the experts at Omaze reckon you could get about £4000 a month for this modern pad), the Devon house has plenty of pull factors worth staying around for.

Located in Exmouth on the south-east coast of Devon, the house is positioned just where the River Exe meets the sea. The nearby Exmouth Beach is known for its two-mile stretch of golden sandy beach and litter of beautiful rock pools. The house is a good match for someone looking to balance city and coastal life; just 12 miles from Exeter (a beautiful, historic city with Roman ruins, canals, museums and a great food scene), the nearby Orcombe Point is an entry point for the South West Coast Path, the start of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

Arranged over two floors, the house itself is striking and modern, offering its new residents a heavy dose of coastal cool in extremely comfortable surroundings. The large kitchen is white Corian, with porcelain floor tiles, set off by the natural wood and earthy straw lanterns above the island. The lounge has a sleek Japandi feel, with modular furniture, plenty of greenery and a large skylight. The dining room is one of the most striking features of the house, with windows down the entirety of one wall opposite the large dining area, giving you views of the beautiful countryside beyond whilst you entertain around the large, mid-century modern table.

Upstairs, three modern bedrooms are decorated in bright, airy neutrals and all feature views over the countryside and sea beyond. The main bedroom has big sliding doors which lead onto a balcony with sofas arranged to enjoy the scenery (which you can also access from stairs that come up directly from the garden). There's another bedroom in the annexe in the garden (perfect for the ‘in-law apartment’, for guests or to rent out separately), which also has a designated study area.

The outside area is perhaps the biggest pull of the house, featuring not only the aforementioned annexe and a large grassy garden but also a heated pool, surrounded by white porcelain and olive trees.

As usual the house is comfortable, large and elegantly decorated, but you get the sense that this house would offer you a whole new way of life that feels more fitting to LA than Exmouth. Given that entry is just £10, there's almost no reason not to enter. Omaze has also offered a minimum £1,000,000 donation for the charity CALM, from the Devon House Draw funds, so the pull to enter is even bigger.

Where is the Omaze Devon house?

The Omaze Devon house is in Exmouth, near to Orcombe Point for glorious coastal walks and just 12 miles from Exeter.

As with every Omaze million pound house draw, the house comes fully furnished, mortgage free and there's no stamp duty to pay. What's more, a cash prize of £250,000 will be given to the lucky winner. There's no reason not to enter, given that entries cost just £10 – with bundle discounts for multiple entries – and all the proceeds for this prize draw will go to the CALM. For one lucky winner, the house represents an opportunity of a lifetime.
